Cumulatively, we have over 100 years experience in providing pet owners with the peace of mind that only comes with the knowledge that their special family member and friend will be memorialized with the love, respect, care and dignity that he or she deserves.
The Agee Family has been servicing the South Louisiana and Mississippi area since 1969. We service each pet at our facility in Harvey, Louisiana. We do not contract with other crematoriums or ship your pet out of town for cremation – they never leave our care. It is for this reason that we can guarantee you your pet. We are considered by many to be Louisiana’s finest pet Crematorium setting standards and traditions.
Our prices are based on the weight of your pet. Please refer to the Cremation Prices page of this site for the exact cost of service. The costs listed is for the complete service, including receiving your pet from your veterinarian’s office (in the New Orleans, Jefferson, St. Bernard or upper Plaquemines Parish areas), their private cremation, a lovely Cherry Memory Box Urn or an adorable Paw Print Tin Urn, cremation certificate and your pet’s and return of your pet’s ashes/cremains to your veterinarian’s. For 30 days, we maintain the following:
A Photograph of your pet is taken prior to cremation for identification confirmation. Further, we monitor and record each private cremation – (these photographs and recordings are for your confidence and our records -we do not post them or sell them – they are the property of Agee’s Pet Crematorium). We can schedule to receive your pet from your home, by appointment for an additional fee of $50 or $75 (depending on your pet’s weight) during business hours.
We require payment prior to service being rendered (at the time service is requested), unless other arrangements have been made. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Cash, Money Order – we no longer accept personal checks (as of 7/25/13).
Our office hours are: Monday – Friday 9:30 to 5. We are closed on Saturdays, Sundays and all major holidays.
We are a locally owned, family operated business that serves the Eastbank and Westbank emergency clinics after hours. Sundays and holidays while our office is closed. We do charge a $40 After Hours Fee for service to the emergency clinics after hours.
If / When a final appointment is made with your veterinarian, it is a good idea to let us know, so that we can coordinate with your veterinarian. There is an additional charge for service after 4 pm. We are closed on all major holidays, including Mardi Gras and every Saturday & Sunday. We do charge $40 to receive your pet from the emergency clinics after normal hours.
We carry an extensive selection of striking metal urns. Several of our urns are specific to dogs or cats with engraving options. Outdoor urns can help memorialize a favorite spot in the garden. Keepsake jewelry allows you to keep your loved ones close to your heart.
Although it is not a common request, we also offer a Communal (Non-Private) cremation for those who do not want the cremains (ashes) of their pet returned to them. Communal (Non-private) cremations are about half the price of Private cremations and start at $75 for pets under 20 pounds. No cremated remains (ashes) are returned to the family, accordingly, we reserve the right to respectfully scatter these ashes. Please note that we do not charge for or provide perpetual care for communal cremations, therefore, there is, at this time, no area available to the public for scattering or viewing the cremains from a non-private service, However, below are some photographs of the lovely wooded 26 acres where we respectfully scatter.
Weekends & Holidays
We can provide service to your home after regular business hours ( Monday through Friday, 9:30 am- 4:00 pm).
Home service is not offered the day before, the day of or the day after a major holiday – Home service can be scheduled on a Saturday with advanced notice (must be arranged by 4 pm Thursday) and there is an additional fee of $100 for After Hours/Weekends. This service is by appointment, only, and is not considered emergency service. Please note that this fee is in addition to the $50/$80/$110 Home Service fee and the regular cremation price. There is a $40 After hours Appointment Fee to receive your pet from the Emergency Clinics that are not open during normal business hours.
We are close on these holidays: New Year’s Day, Saturday – Tuesday of Mardi Gras, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day (and the day after Thanksgiving), Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve.
We do service the Westbank Pet Emergency Clinic after hours and on all holidays – We do not provide home service the day before – the day of or the day after a holiday unless arrangements are made 48 hours in advance due to the possibility of limited staffing.
